Pretty sure if we 1v1'd, the outcome would be determined to whoever can stay awake at the computer long enough to participate in a templar vs x 1v1.

I moved on to WoW from GW, AoC and DDO from WoW and now onto Aion. Got a level 30 cleric on the server Ariel, Asmodian side. I don't have too many lag issues with exception of fortress sieges, don't even bother healing, just keep spamming smite and hope I get a divine spark off on someone. Not that I'd know if it happened because I'm pretty sure my frame rate is less than 5 during the sieges.

Liking the game so far though, I have 3 lvl 80's in WoW so maybe the grind in Aion doesn't seem as bad to me because of that. Mobs give loads of xp, easily soloable 3-5 levels higher than your character and I've grouped with some of the best players I've found across any game (granted I've also grouped with the worst players I've found across any game as well). But I will be interested in seeing the end game, pve side.

Yeah, usually when I fight against other Templars, Gladiators or Chanters/Priests, we hit each other few times, then we both just give up and go our separate ways.

I'm playing on Castor as a hairy backed ranger. Hit level 26 a few days ago, so much more fun when you can run around chasing Elyos.

It's not fun when a ranger 5 levels above you hunts you down for 5 minutes with snares in the Abyss. It is, however, fun when they follow you to your ally NPCs and proceed to get killed.

Tell me about it. I was flying in Abyss yesterday, and suddenly a Ranger notices me. I'm used to them running away from me, but this one actually chased me. I had to activate the "WTFZOMGBBQ" skill that all Templars have - 25% health heal, +50% maximum health.

I almost escaped him, but then another Templar jumped on my ass with Inescapable Judgment and Ranger caught up with me... When I later checked his level on the website, he was good 12 levels above me.

But making people follow you into Abyss NPCs from your faction is fun. Especially if you manage to root them. Good times with Spiritmaster...

Running away from a group with a templar is like being a dog tied on a leash. You can run, but you're going to be pulled back. Not very fun, at all.

NCSoft recently stated that they're increasing the quest reward xp on quests in all of the 20+ zones. They're also increasing the kinah reward on 20+ quests.

Meh, I'm waiting with renewing my account till they do increase the exp.

I just don't find it worth my time or money. I mean, I have Borderlands, Team Fortress 2, L4D2 and Dragon Age coming out soon, both will take some of my time (probably).

Yeah, my sub runs out the 3rd and I don't think I'm going to renew it until 1.5.1 comes out. Good chance I'll have a job this week, buddy is probably moving in with me, and MW2 comes out soon. Just don't see where I'm going to fit in grinding in Aion. I got it to kill time, I'm going to have a lot less time to kill, so meh.

I too am putting my sub on hold. Been playing since launch and have a 30ish cleric and a 25ish Sorc. The killer for me is are the "in your face" bots and complete mishandling of the playerbase communication and GM support from NCSoft West.

The game is awesome but the ported support structure is awful. We'll see what the next patch holds, as you guys said.

But the exp boost won't be at the 1.5.1 patch. It will be either sooner or earlier. Maybe they will release them at the same time, too. But don't think 1.5.1 = exp boost.

At least, not the 20+ quest boost. The 1.5.2 or 1.5.3 will boost the quest exp for 40+, but our good NCWest people want to increase quest exp earlier.

Besides, if the game starts at level 50, why should we grind three months to get to it? Because I've got a level 28 Templar (and a half), 26 Spiritmaster (5% till 27), level 14 Assassin and a level 7 Priest. Even had I played only one character (the Templar), I would be barely 35.

And really, there isn't much end game content. You get instances which have like 15+ hour lockouts, fortress sieges which happen what, 1-2 times a day (if that), and the Dredgion, which I've only seen once since I hit 25.

Meh. We still don't know which level of quests will be increased. Don't forget this is the Korean patch, they didn't show an increase in quests before 40. Maybe it was just a sample, but I'm sceptical...

About the endgame content - that's what ya get for a "pvp oriented game" - instances, zerging fortresses and another instance, only this one pvpve. Still, I laughed when someone said you have:

- endless pvp, getting Abyss loot and items.
- endless pve, doing instances for the best loot and money.

Too bad that you can't even go to Abyss now if you are under 45, because there are tons of bots/powerleveled characters or people dualing to get characters to level 50... Or there are level 25 characters with full gold equipment and +10 physical critical in every slot. With still only a rank 9 in Abyss...
